Ojodu LCDA Hosts Lagos State House Of Assembly Committee On Health

Ojodu LCDA today hosted the
Lagos State House Of Assembly House Committee On Health Services during their oversight functions visit, which was marked by productive discussions and a detailed inspection of health facilities within the LCDA.

The committee, led by its Chairman, Hon Musibau Lawal, were warmly received by the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Mr. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, who expressed gratitude for the committee’s visit, stating that it underscores the importance of health services oversight in ensuring quality healthcare for all.

The oversight visit included a thorough tour of the Ojodu Primary Healthcare Centres, where the committee assessed the state of medical equipment, the availability of essential drugs and the general working conditions of the health workers.

The committee members also interacted with the healthcare staff patients and local community leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare challenges and successes within the LCDA.

Hon Musibau Lawal commended the efforts of the Ojodu LCDA in enhancing healthcare services despite the challenges posed by limited resources. He noted the visible improvements in infrastructure and the dedication of the health personnel. However, he also commended the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA for his efforts in the provision medical supplies and the employment of healthcare workers.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman, Mr. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, assured the committee of the council’s ongoing efforts to improve quality healthcare while emphasizing the council’s proactive approach in seeking partnerships and support from both the State Government and private sector to bolster healthcare services.
