Ojodu LCDA Reforms Free Medical Surgery Programme For Improved Healthcare Delivery

Ojodu LCDA is pleased to announce the rejuvenation of its Free Medical Surgery Programme, aligning with best healthcare standards to provide improved medical services to residents.

 

“As part of this initiative, our flagship “See a Doctor” programme has been enhanced to offer more efficient and accessible healthcare. Notably, the eligible age for surgical procedures has been adjusted to 18 years and above, ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate care tailored to their age group” Hon Segun Odunmbaku said.

 

The programme will now focus on day surgeries, allowing patients to undergo minor surgical procedures and return home the same day. This adjustment enhances convenience, reduces hospital stay and ensures a faster recovery process.

 

Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, District 6, the “See a Doctor” programme, which successfully treated 342 beneficiaries will cater to minor surgeries such as: Hernia Repair, Lumpectomy,Vasectomy, Circumcision, Skin Lesion Removal, Minor Orthopedic Procedures among others.

 

According to the Council Chairman, Ojodu LCDA remains committed to quality healthcare delivery, accurate record-keeping, and continuous progress monitoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

“Our facilities are well-equipped with the necessary medical tools and supplies to support this initiative effectively.”

 

“Additionally, this revitalization complements our ongoing Free Weekly Dental and Eye Care Services, as well as the comprehensive upgrade of Primary Health Centers, reinforcing our commitment to accessible and quality healthcare delivery for all” he said.
