The Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, yesterday organized an awareness outreach to address the cholera outbreak in Lagos State.

The event, led by the Environmental Department, aimed to educate residents on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of cholera.

During the outreach, officials highlighted the importance of maintaining proper hygiene, ensuring safe drinking water, and practicing good sanitation to prevent the spread of cholera. They also distributed informational materials and demonstrated practical steps, such as proper handwashing techniques and water purification methods.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by local authorities to curb the spread of cholera and protect public health in Lagos State.

The outreach also provided an opportunity for community members to ask questions and receive guidance on how to effectively manage and prevent cholera in their households and neighborhoods.
