Ojodu LCDA youths, who recently completed the Soilless Farming Training Programme at the renowned Soilless FarmLab, have paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, to present the first harvest from their hydroponics farm.

The youths, who successfully cultivated premium yellow, red and green bell peppers, habanero peppers and cucumbers through advanced Soilless and hydroponic techniques, expressed appreciation to the council leadership for investing in their agricultural capacity-building and opening new pathways for youth empowerment.

Receiving the fresh produce, Hon. Odunmbaku commended the trainees for their dedication and impressive results, noting that their achievement underscores the council’s commitment to driving innovation, food security and economic opportunities within Ojodu LCDA.

He assured the young agripreneurs and the facilitator, Mr. Akin Alabi, that he would further support the participants by integrating them into the Ojodu Food Mart initiative, where they will have access to market opportunities for their produce.

The Mayor also pledged additional financial and technical support, along with inclusion in upcoming agricultural programmes designed to strengthen youth participation in modern farming.
