The meeting, convened to review progress and strengthen strategies ahead of the ongoing APC membership registration exercise, underscored the importance of robust grassroots mobilisation. The APC Chairperson in Ojodu LCDA, Alhaja Stella Kokumo, emphasised that effective membership registration remains a critical foundation for electoral success, noting that increased party membership would translate into stronger voter turnout and wider support during general elections.

Barrister Olawale Ajala commended the Ojodu LCDA APC for its commendable mobilisation efforts so far but stressed the need to intensify actions to meet the ambitious target of registering at least 250 members per polling unit. He also praised Hon. Odunmbaku for his strategic contributions, which have added technical depth to the mobilisation drive and acknowledged the efforts of councillors who have deployed banners and other sensitisation tools to encourage public participation.

In his remarks, Hon. Odunmbaku appreciated party leaders and stakeholders, describing Ojodu LCDA as a critical mobilisation hub within the Ikeja Federal Constituency and a major vote contributor. He reiterated that the registration exercise is a vital groundwork for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assuring stakeholders of coordinated engagement with market women, religious institutions, traditional rulers, transport unions, youth groups and community leaders. He noted that ongoing developmental initiatives across the LCDA have made the APC a credible and attractive platform for residents.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Alhaja Funmilayo Layeni; Leader of the House, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira; Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA APC, Hon. Gbemi Ololade; councillors, ward chairmen, party executives, former political office holders and other stakeholders, all of whom pledged support for a more inclusive and efficient registration process.
