Okotete Receives Outstanding Contribution To Women Empowerment Award

The Executive Director (Business Development) of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM), Hon Stella Okotete, was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Women Empowerment award at the Road to South-South event.

 

The ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the State House, Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, brought together an array of distinguished dignitaries.

In her acceptance speech, Hon. Okotete, who was accompanied by her mentees from the Progressives Young Women Forum (APC-PYWF), expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and the convener, Hon. Gift John bull, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-South), for recognizing her contributions with such a prestigious honour.

 

She dedicated the award to the resilient women of the South-South region, acknowledging their unwavering strength and potential in driving sustainable development.

“This award is not just a recognition of my efforts but a celebration of all South-South women who continue to inspire progress and transformation in our region,” Okotete stated.

 

Hon. Stella Okotete has been at the forefront of women empowerment and community development through her innovative programmes and initiatives aimed at fostering economic inclusion and gender equality.

The event underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing regional challenges and promoting initiatives that uplift women and communities across the South-South region.
