Guts 104.9 FM, one of Lagos’ fastest-growing radio stations, has announced a management shake-up, appointing ace broadcaster Olaniyi Omisope, aka Baba Omi, as Acting General Manager.

The move was revealed in a memo by the Station Group Managing Director, Michael T. Olayinka, citing the need for a transition at the managerial level, effective immediately.

Other appointments include Abidemi Moses as Acting Director of Program, Isiaq Olayinka as Studio Manager, Imoleayo Ojo as Assistant Studio Manager, and Kanayo Nwabuwa as News Editor.

In the memo, Olayinka urged staff to support the new appointees, saying their input and expertise would be crucial to their success.

Olaniyi’s appointment comes after he set a Guinness World Record for the longest marathon single-host broadcast, clocking in at almost 170 hours.

His versatility and unique style made him an ideal fit for the role at Guts 104.9 FM.
