Olympic Qualifier: Lagos Boxers Excelling In Senegal, Joy Ojo Knocks Out Zambian Pugilist

Report from Dakar, Senegal where the qualifying boxing tournament for Paris 2024 Olympic Games is going has it that Team Nigeria’s Ojo Joy defeated Mhango Mary of Zambia.

Ojo, one of the three Lagos State boxers in Nigeria’s camp, got her victory in round 3 in one of the bouts of the African qualifier for Paris 2024 in Dakar.

Her feat in the round of 16 of the boxing events against the Zambian in the 57kg women’s category has qualified her for the quarterfinals.

P.M. EXPRESS reports that she is among the three Lagos pugilists in the Nigerian team dominating in their different divisions.
