ONC PG, Amb. Emeni Ibe Applauds Gov. Fubara’s Defection To APC As Best News Of The Year

The President General of the apex Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, who doubles as the National President of the Southern Youth Foundation, and Coordinator of the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu, Rivers State Chapter, Amb. Emeni Ibe (JP, AP), has applauded the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, following his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reacting to the development, Amb. Ibe described the news as “the best news of the year,” noting that it is a welcome and timely development for Rivers State and the South-South region at large. He stated that Governor Fubara’s decision to join the APC reflects bold leadership and a clear alignment with the centre for the overall interest, stability, and development of the state.
According to him, the Governor’s defection would further strengthen political harmony between the Rivers State Government and the Federal Government, opening wider opportunities for growth, federal presence, and inclusive governance.
Amb. Ibe further noted that the historic move has provided a strong reason for celebration across the state, adding that it effectively sets the tone for official commemorations and renewed political enthusiasm among supporters of the ruling party.
He reaffirmed the unwavering support of the Orashi National Congress, the Southern Youth Foundation, and the Civil Society Campaign Council for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, assuring that stakeholders and youths across Rivers State would mobilize massively to support the new political direction.
Amb. Ibe concluded by calling on Rivers people to embrace the development in the spirit of unity, peace, and progress, stressing that the defection marks a new chapter for sustainable development in the state.
