The President General of notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress (ONC), Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has commended the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for what he described as strategic and well-considered appointments into critical positions in the state government.

In a statement issued on 26th February, 2026, Amb. Ibe lauded the appointment of Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and that of the Chief of Staff (COS), noting that the selections reflected competence, administrative experience, and loyalty to the vision of the present administration.

According to the ONC President General, the appointments demonstrated Governor Fubara’s commitment to strengthening governance structures and consolidating effective service delivery across Rivers State. He expressed confidence that Dr. Wokoma, as SSG, will bring intellectual depth and coordination to the machinery of government, while Barrister Ewule, as Chief of Staff, will enhance executive efficiency and policy implementation.

Amb. Ibe, who also serves as National President of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and State Coordinator of the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu/Shettima and Siminalayi Fubara 2027, extended warm congratulations to the newly appointed officials.

“We congratulate the new appointees and wish them wisdom, strength, and success as they assume these important responsibilities in service to Rivers State,” he stated.

He further reaffirmed the support of the Orashi National Congress and allied civil society groups for the Fubara-led administration, expressing optimism that the new appointments will contribute significantly to peace, stability, and accelerated development in the state.
