ONC PG Condemns Abduction & Killing Of President of Omoku Youth Federation

Following the sad development in Omoku, the President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has strongly condemned the abduction and killing of the president of Omoku Youth Federation, Comrade Ifeanyi Azuazu. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Comrade Azuazu was abducted on Thursday, 5th February, 2026, after gunmen in a black vehicle attacked his shop along Off Palace Road, Omoku, in an incident that left one person dead and another injured.
Reacting to the sad development, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe said, “The discovery of the body of Comrade Ifeanyi Azuazu, the President of the Omoku Youth Federation, in Elieta Forest is a sad one, which must be condemned in the strongest terms”.
“Omoku youths have certainly lost a strong voice who is committed to community development. At the moment, it has not been established the immediate and remote causes of this dastardly act. I therefore, call for calm in Omoku.”
“I equally use this medium to ask our result oriented Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale, to deploy his Tactical Team to Omoku in order to investigate the abduction and killing of Comrade Ifeanyi Azuazu, identify and apprehend those responsible for this heinous attack.”
“The Rivers State Government and security agencies should as a matter of urgency address the rising insecurity in Omoku and the surrounding areas. Security of lives and property is everyone’s business. Community leaders, stakeholders and youth groups in Omoku should also assist the Police by providing credible information that will assist their investigation, nip reprisal attacks in the bud and unravel the immediate and remote causes of the recent sad developments in the area.”
