Orashi National Congress Commends Rivers CP & Other Security Agencies

Apex Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has commended the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, the Area Commanders, the Army and other security agencies for living up to their responsibilities since the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the group’s commendation came after their meeting on Thursday 10th April, 2025.
After the meeting on Thursday, the President General of the Congress, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, spoke to newsmen on behalf of the leadership and members of the ONC.
Amb. Ibe said, “The Orashi National Congress, ONC, having assessed the security situation since the pronouncement of a state of emergency in Rivers State, wish to use this medium to pass a vote of confidence on the leadership of the security agencies in the state”.

“We are confident and must highly commend the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale, for his exceptional dedication to maintaining peace and security in our state. We must also commend ACP Cecy Brown, the Area Commander of Ahoada and the DPOs in the Orashi region for the good they have been doing and are still doing to keep our area peaceful and secured.”
“We will not also fail to commend the Garrison Commander of the Army in Rivers State for the good job he has been doing since he came on board. We also deeply appreciate Lt. Col. David D. Omale, Commander Forward Operating Base, Nigeria Army, the 6 Division, for tirelessly ensuring that our area is calm.
The security situation has improved with no untoward happenings as we have witnessed unprecedented levels of security and peaceful coexistence. Pipeline vandalism and oil theft have equally been contained especially in the Orashi region and we must commend the Commander of the Army within our area.”
“As we pass the vote of confidence on the leadership of the security agencies, we assure them of the cooperation and support of the Orashi National Congress as they carry on with their lawful duties.”
