Orashi National Congress Pays Courtesy Visit To DSS Director In Port Harcourt
Respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, on behalf of the good people of Orashi Region in Rivers State, which comprises Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas of Rivers State, has paid a courtesy visit to the office of the DSS Director in Port Harcourt.
Speaking during the visit, the ONC PG, Snr. Comrade Amb Emeni Ibe, on behalf of the executive council and the entire membership of the congress, said that the delegation visited to register their willingness to work with the Service to ensure total security and peace in their area from Ahoda East to Abua/Odual and Ahoda West to Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGAs of Rivers State.
Amb. Emeni Ibe posited that security agencies in the Orashi region needed to be proactive instead of being reactive. He used the opportunity the visit afforded to appreciate Command for the success recorded in the area of promotion of peace and security under the leadership of the Director.
He said, “We lack words to express the profound gratitude of our people but all we can say is a ‘big thank you’ and you can rest assured of our continued cooperation. We are proud of the achievements of the DSS in the State”.

1. Campaign against pipeline vandalism
2. Campaign against illegal refinery and kpo fire
3. Campaign against cultism
4. Promotion of peace and security summit
5. Operation work with traditional rulers and security agencies just to mention but a few.”
“We appeal to you to use your good office to support us on our forthcoming Orashi peace and security campaign across the four local government areas starting from 21st November 2024.”

The DSS Director, in his remarks, thanked the group for the visit while assuring that the Service remains open to cooperation and suggestions on security issues in the area.
