Organisers Rate Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Soccer Challenge High

Organisers of the ongoing Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Lagos Community Soccer Challenge in Ikeja division have expressed their satisfaction with the performance of all participating teams at the just concluded tourney.
The 5-A-Side football tourney which involved 32 teams was concluded on Sunday at Opebi Primary School, Ikeja.
In the first final, Bhuari FC defeated Basic FC 2-0 , while United Strikers beat WAO CDA community 1-0 in the second final. Both winners will represent Ikeja division in the state final.
Match Coordinator, Tayo Aderinola said the tourney has discovered young talented players who can play in the Nigerian professional league. He said all the participating teams played good football but the better side won the game.
“It was exciting game in the last two days we started this tournament in Ikeja division. Honestly speaking, all the participating teams really gave good accounts of themselves. I believe that the Badagry division which will start this weekend would be better. I want to use this medium to congratulate both winners and wish them best of luck in their state finals,” he said.
Media Coordinator of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Community Soccer Challenge, Wale Ogunniran said he was impressed with the standard of play displayed by participants. He said the tournament was organised to engage the youth through football and discover some talents that are hidden in the community.
“I watched most of the matches and I am surprised with the level of commitment of the players. I see future national players among the participating teams. I also want to appreciate the officials for job well done. There was no complaint neither protest from any team. It shows that the tourney was well organise,” he said.
Meanwhile, attention would be shifted to Badagry division this weekend to know the winners that would represent division at the state finals.
