Organisers Satisfied With Teams’ Conduct At Olori Hadijat Cup

 The organizers of the ongoing Olori Hadijat Gbadamosi Memorial Football Competition have expressed satisfaction with the performance of the participating teams since the tourney kicked a week ago at Igando Palace playground, Alimosho, Lagos.

Match coordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi said the competition which involves female teams has lived up to expectations in terms of player’s performance, standard of play by the participants and good conducts displayed by players during and after the game.

“I must confess to you that the Olori Hadijat Cup has attracted large turnout of spectators maybe because of the female teams that are involved in the competition. Don’t forget that this is the first time I willorganize female football event, but to my greatest surprise, the players were of the good conduct on and off the pitch. I don’t have problem with the players and their coaches. It shows that the tourney has lived up to expectations,” he said.

 Gbadamonsi also urged the participating players to continue abiding by the spirits of sportsmanship they have been displaying since the tourney started, adding that any player found wanting would be sanctioned by disciplinary committee.

Action continues on Thursday, when Arising Queens battle Murich Queens, Oyinkansola Babes will take on Future Queens, while Fowosere Queens confront Royal Tons.

In the matches played so far, Arising Queens lost 0-2 to Fowosere Queens, while Royal Tons humbled Murich Queens 4-1

In the U-10 male category, Golden Stars defeated Fortune 2-1, Tao FC thrashed Royal Diamond 2-0, Sharp Strikers lost 0-1 to Imafidon FC as Sammy FC shocked Top Stars 2-1.

Gbadamosi, while speaking with journalists said the competition is organized in remembrance of his mother who died eight years ago.
