Osinowo Plans Big For Lagos East Unity Cup

A member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Bayo Osinowo has promised all participating teams good package in the forthcoming Gold Cup tagged Lagos East Unity Cup which holds very soon.
The Chairman Organising Committee of the competition, Kemac Emina told journalists in Lagos that the cup donor has promised to increase the prize money  to better the previous editions. Emina   who is the Secretary of Gbagada Grassroots Sports Association said this year’s edition would be better organized than the previous editions.
 “When I met the cup donor recently, he told me that he wanted to increase the total money of the tournament because he wants to use the competition to empower the youths and ensure that the youths are fully engaged through sports. He was happy with the last edition in the area of publicity and the organization. So all the teams should expect better competition in this year’s edition,” he said.
Kemac said the competition would be played in the three centres,  Epe, Ikorodu and Gbagada. According to Emina, 16 teams are expected to take part in the three centres, while eight teams would qualify for the quarter final stage.
 Excel FC won the tournament with a prize of  N1 million and a giant trophy last year,  while Sporting Royal FC and Eleniyan FC went home with the sum of N750, 000 and N5,000,00 respectively.
 Hon Osinowo, the cup donor is currently representing Kosofe Constituency 1 in the Lagaos State House of Assembly and a Senatorial  aspirant for Lagos East Senatorial District.
