Osun Farmers, AFAN, Invited To Celebrate Israel’s 71st Anniversary In Abuja

The current leadership of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Osun State chapter is enjoying both local and international recognition since assumption of office last year.
The latest honour bestowed on Osun State AFAN was from the Government of the State of Israel, which has extended an invitation to the President of the association, Alhaji Suleiman Araokanmi and his Deputy, Mr. Alade Owo to its 71st anniversary.
This was contained an invitation sent to the Osun State AFAN president by the Ambassador of the State of Israel in Nigeria, His Excellency Ambassador Shimon Ben-Shoshan and his wife, Mrs. Yael Ben-Shoshan who are requesting the honour of Alhaji Araokanmi and Mr. Owo to join the list of very important personalities in Nigeria who have equally been invited to celebrate the Israelis anniversary at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on 21 May, 2019 starting from 6pm
The Ambassador informed the AFAN president that the occasion will be a festive concert by the world-renowned Idan Raichel Project.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that Alhaji Araokanmi and Mr. Owo are among the few privileged personalities the Israeli Government accorded the invitation from Osun State as recommended by the Embassy in Nigeria.
This may not be unconnected with the roles the Alhaji Araokanmi-led Osun State AFAN played during the recently held Agritech Nigeria Osun 2019, the first-ever agro technology exhibition and conference which took place at the Aurora International Conference Centre, Osogbo from 26-28 March, 2019. Araokanmi mobilised his members across the nooks and crannies of the state to the three days event which had in attendance about nine foreign Ambassadors. The Israeli Embassy in Nigeria was well represented at the event by the most senior Nigeria staff, Mrs. Florence Osuji, the Senior Economic Officer of the Embassy.
The leadership of Osun AFAN was commended by the foreign diplomats and other dignitaries who came for the Agritech event. They hailed the AFAN members for showing a high level of patriotism by identifying with the organisers of the Agritech Nigeria Osun 2019 event and ensured the success of the agric show despite all challenges.
