Osun Youths Hold Rally To Endorse Oyetola

Ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun, a coalition of youth groups in the state is set to hold a rally today Thursday to endorse the candidature of the incumbent governor and flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Adegboyega Oyetola, for reelection.

In a statement released by the focal person of the coalition, Comrade Ibrahim Taofeek Kayode (ITK), the rally, which is projected to bring over 12,000 youths together, will hold at the Osogbo Township Stadium from 9:00am.

The youth groups attributed their decision to the impressive performance of Governor Oyetola in his current term in office, describing him as the candidate with proven capacity.

They lauded Oyetola for implementing his vision for youth development through his enactment of Osun’s first ever Youth Policy Document.

They also commended the Osun governor for walking the talk by appointing youths into strategic positions in cabinet and non-cabinet capacities, adding that it was an indication of his regard for youths as critical stakeholders in any sociopolitical setting.

According to the groups, “there is no better time to make a bold statement about what Mr Governor symbolised to youth development than now, and that is why we have decided to come out in our full strength rally support for his re-election”.
