OTCI Sensitises HR Leaders In Health Sector & Parastatals

Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation (Office of the Head of Service) has organised a Human Resource Management (HRM) Sensitization Exercise for Public Servants in the Health Sector and other agencies of Government in Lagos State to drive performance and enhance service delivery.

 

In her welcome remarks at the event which took place recently at the Debt Management Resource Centre, Ikeja, Director General of OTCI, Toyin Anjous-Admuyiwa opined that the Health sector within the public sector plays a critical role in providing quality healthcare services to the community while facing unique challenges in terms of HR Management.

She noted that these challenges directly impact performance and patient outcomes, adding that It’s imperative that these challenges and the five divisions of HR need to be revitalized to drive performance and enhance the overall healthcare experience.

“We can create a workforce that is motivated, skilled, and committed to delivering exceptional results and encourage all participants to collectively work together to transform the HR landscape in the Lagos State Public Service and pave the way for a brighter future”, she said.

She reiterated that the theme: “Driving Exceptional Performance Through Revitalizing the 5 Divisions of HR – Transforming the A&HR Cadre”, was an opportunity that brought together HR Officers in the Health sector and other Government Agencies across the State to discuss and address key challenges and opportunities in the Human Resource Management.

Different papers were presented on HR best practices and participants took full advantage of the opportunity provided by the platform to interact, exchange views and share experiences to create synergies for a collectively beneficial future in Public Service.

The goal of the sensitization is to enhance employee productivity and job satisfaction; improve service delivery and citizen engagement; increase transparency and accountability and strengthen the position as a model Public Service.

 

Speakers at the event include Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government Establishment, Mrs. Bibilomo Olayide Olushekun; Director of Service Matters, Public Service Office, Princess Bopo Oyekan Ismaila and a Senior Advocate of Growth Mindset, Mrs. Oluwalanke Omowunmi.
