The Owo Is One Association has commended the swiftness in making arrest of suspected criminals behind the terror attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

The Owo is One Association commended our Governor Olurotrimi Akeredolu SAN and the Commander General of Amatekun for his commitment , tenacity and doggedness in finding these vagabonds.

National Coordinator of Owo Is One Association, Chief Akinboro Aruwajoye said in a statement on Thursday that the Association is highly impressed and satisfied with the way the Ondo State Security Network, otherwise known as Amotekun, went about the operation that led to some arrests of perpetrators of the terror attack on Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

“We have to give a thumbs up to the Amotekun corps led by their Commander, Mr Adetunji Adeleye for their professionalism and tenacity. The Owo Is One Association commends the gallantry of our Amotekun, and we thank them for a job well done. With this arrest life can start returning to normal as we can start sleeping with our eyes closed.

“We want to equally commend other security agencies in the state for not disappointing the people of Owo because we believe everybody went to work immediately the unfortunate attack occurred,” Aruwajoye said.

“We can all see that the work being done by these Amotekun corps is very essential in keeping our community safe. That’s why we are appealing to the government at the centre to allow Amotekun operatives to carry guns and other sophisticated security equipment to match the demands of their responsibility,” he said.

Aruwajoye enjoined the people in the community to be security conscious and be vigilant, adding that the job of securing the community is a job that involves everyone in the society.

“We must all be security conscious in all our communities. The people must learn to report any unusual movement and strangers to the law enforcement agents. If we keep on doing this, our community will be more safer,” he said.
