Pastor, 30, Stabs Mother To Death

A 30-year old clergyman, Nwabueze Anaka, a pastor of one of the new generation churches on Tuesday allegedly stabbed his mother, Mrs. Grace Anaka, to death in Ifite Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The suspect, Pastor Nwabueze Anaka, reportedly took to his heels immediately after killing his mother. The reason for the dastardly act is yet to be ascertained.

According to the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, who also confirmed the incident, the deceased was stabbed with a dagger.

SP Haruna said that there was a report at Oraifite Division on 27th August, 2019, at about 12:00pm, that same date at about 6am, one Nwabueze Anaka, 30, of Umunakwa Oraifite, allegedly stabbed his mother one Grace Anaka, 50, with a dagger and took to flight.

He said that Police detectives attached to the Oraifite Division visited the scene, took photographs and moved the victim to the hospital, where she was certified dead by the medical doctor after which her corpse was deposited at the Rest Land Morgue, Oraifite. The spokesman said that the Police are making effort to arrest the suspect and have him face the law.
