Pastor’s Wife Remanded For Flogging Landlady’s Children For Riding Bicycle

A Pastor’s wife, Evangelist Rebecca Falade, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly flogging the landlady’s three children, Damilola Adenikan “F”, Akinola Adenikan “M”, and Success Adenikan “F” and inflicting injuries on them for riding bicycle within the premises. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 16th July, 2025, at about 3pm at Ifelodun Street, Baba Oba Bus Stop, Idimu area of Lagos, where they reside.
Apart from mercilessly flogging the victims, she also damaged the bicycle, threw it away and dared the landlady and her family.
However, her action has landed her in trouble as she was arrested and charged for assault and malicious damage.
According to the Police, the Pastor’s wife saw the victims riding bicycle in the premises, she became annoyed, picked up a cane and inflicted injury on their bodies before she damaged the bicycle.
The matter was reported to the Police at Idimu Division. She was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct, which she blamed on the devil.
The Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The charges read:
“That you, Rebecca Falade “F” on the 16th day of July, 2025 at 3PM, At No 10. Ifelodun Street, Baba Oba Bus Stop, Idimu, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully assault one Damilola Adenikan “F”, One Akinola Adenikan “M”, one Success Adenikan “F” with a cane, with which you inflicted injuries on various parts of their bodies and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 173 of the Criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
Count lI:”That you Rebecca Falade “F” on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did willfully damage one children bicycle valued N150,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only) property of one Temitope Kehinde “F” meant for the children’s usage, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 350 of criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.A. Popoola, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 25th August, 2025, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
