Police Arrest Armed Robber During Operation

It was the end for a notorious armed bandit, one Amara Ezeodum, after the police foiled a robbery operation, arrested and recovered a gun from him in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Lekki Phase One area of Lagos, where the suspect was said to have robbed innocent people at gun point.

This was disclosed by the Lagos PPRO, CSP Chike Oti, in a press release by the Command.

CSP Oti stated that the suspect, one Amara Ezeodum, was on  4^th March, 2019, nabbed by eagle-eyed policemen on anti crime patrol duties at No.66, Olaitan Sebanjo Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
He explained that the cries of one Miss Oluwatosin Graig, who was robbed by the suspect, attracted the policemen led by CSP Isah Abdulmajid to the scene. When the officer heard what happened, the police officers gave the suspect a hot chase. He was apprehended and the police recovered a short gun from him which he had used during the operation.
Oti further stated that the Lagos State Commissioner of the Police, Mr. Zubairu Muazu, has commended the efforts of the Anti-Crime Patrol team of Maroko Police Station for acting promptly and arresting the suspect.
He stated that CP Muazu had urged other police formations within the Command to emulate them to maintain peace and protect lives and property in their areas. He said that the suspect will be charged to court for armed robbery after the conclusion of investigations.
