Police Bust 2 Suspects Supplying Petrol, Weapons To Terrorists For Operation

Police operatives from the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested two suspects, Ayuba Ahmadu and Danlami Ayuba, for supplying petrol and arms to bandits during an operation in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects were apprehended in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the State with the petrol and arms and were immediately whisked away for further investigation.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Nafiu Habib, who stated this while briefing newsmen on behalf of his Principal, CP Sani-Omolori.
The PPRO stated: “On Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026, at about 1400hrs, the ever-alert JTF operatives deployed to Mansur town in Alkaleri LGA intercepted two suspects, Ayuba Ahmadu and Danlami Ayuba, both males aged 25, from Bogwas village in Alkaleri LGA. They were found in possession of 560 liters of premium motor spirit (PMS)”.
“The suspects confessed to selling fuel to bandits in the area. Each suspect was carrying a container with 280 liters on a Honda motorcycle”, SP Habib said.
He stated that arms and ammunition, including two AK 47 rifles, three Dane guns, 200 live ammunitions, and 40 empty shells were recovered from the suspects.
SP Habib said, other items seized included 12 knives, 18 cutlasses, one axe, and two sticks.
He noted that the Bauchi State Police Command led by CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state, urging members of the public to report suspicious activities, and assured of confidentiality.
The Command’s efforts come as Bauchi State celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of progress and development.
The Police have vowed to continue apprehending criminals and ensuring justice is served.
