Police Bust House Where Fake B & C Herbal Products Are Produced For Public Consumption

Police intelligence operatives from the Lagos State Command have busted a house, where fake B&C Herbal products are produced for public consumption and arrested one of the suspects behind the production which had gone on for several years in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that one of the suspects, Oke Aliu Olabisi, has been arrested and charged for conspiracy and production of adulterated herbal products.
The house is located at Old Ipaja Road, off Shofunde Bus Stop in Agege, where the Police invaded and discovered the fake products which they were producing over the years.
The 34-year old suspect, Olabisi, was alleged to have conspired with others now at large between 2018 and 24th June, 2024 adulterated the products belonging to Trado Medical Nigeria Limited and were selling to members of the public as original products.
Some of the products they were producing included Herbal capsules, Mustrif, Gberatan herbal capsules before the information leaked to the Police, who stormed the place and recovered the items as exhibits while arresting Olabisi.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
