Police Contributory Pension Scheme Is A Scam –Askari

A retired Nigerian Deputy Superintendent of Police and Fuji Musician, Alhaji Ishola Adeyinka a.k.a Askari To Nko Fuji has said that the Contributory Pension scheme for the Nigerian Police Force is a scam and unacceptable.
Adeyinka who retired alongside his colleagues who are members of April 1, 1991 PCI intakes called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Inspector General Of Police, Tunji Disu to find a way of scraping the Police Contributory Pension Scheme because it is a complete scam and very ridiculous.
The retired DSP who entertained guests and colleagues at a well attended reception told the gathering that “Policing is one of the dangerous profession because it involves total commitment and one could be killed or maimed anytime. Why should we then retired after 35 years of meritorious service to the nation only to be given a meagre N3 million?”
While thanking God for coming out unscathed, Askari thanked the Nigerian Police Force for giving him the opportunity to combine his talent of singing Fuji with policing.
“Despite the ups and down it’s been interesting all the way and I thanked Almighty Allah for this exceeding grace,” he said.
Speaking about his next step after retirement, Askari said it’s now time for him to face music squarely and serve his people in Ibadan Oyo State as the Mogaji (head) of Alare Agbejonku royal dynasty.
Askari retired alongside 28 other members of the April 1,1991 PCI intakes.
