Police Recover Weapons At Indian Hemp Dealer’s Den

It was the end of the road for a notorious Indian hemp dealer, Sanni Abiodun, after Police operatives at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, arrested him and recovered huge quantity of substance suspected to be Indian hemp and weapons for robbery operations.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Zonal Monitoring Unit, Zone 2 Police Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos arrested the 29- year old Abiodun at Araromi Street, Offin town, Igbogbo Ikorodu, Lagos.
This was disclosed by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, in charge of Zone 2 Command in Lagos.
He narrated to the press how the arrest was made on 10th April, 2020, adding that the suspect was apprehended with a large quantity of substances suspected to be Indian hemp following a tip-off.
Thereafter, his Monitoring Unit led by the OC, Uba Adams, went into action and stormed the miscreants’ hideout over alleged criminal activities.
According to AIG, the suspect, when interrogated made a voluntary confessional statement to the Police of being in possession of a locally made pistol and 6 rounds of live cartridges which the group uses for their operations.
The suspect also confessed that one Babajide is their boss, who usually supplies them with the weed found in his possession.
However, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered his men to further the investigation and put more efforts in order to arrest Babajide, who is now at large.
The Police said that the suspect will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigation over the alleged offence.
