Police operatives from Akinpelu Division have arrested a married woman, Mrs. Chinaza Eboh, over the death of a Police Inspector identified as Anthony, in her room apartment during a suspected romp in Oshodi area of Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the incident happened at Akinpelu Street, Oshodi, Lagos, where Mrs. Eboh lives alone while her husband was said to have gone back to their village and she refused to follow him.

The late Inspector reportedly sneaked into Mrs. Eboh’s apartment when she returned from the market and they were all alone in the house before he became unconscious and was subsequently rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where the Doctor merely confirmed him dead.

The matter was reported to the Police and Mrs. Eboh was immediately arrested over suspicion that she may have caused his death in her house going by her statement.

According to Mrs. Eboh, she knew the deceased when he assisted her in a matter at the Police Station and they became close. It was not certain if it was the same matter that took him to Mrs. Eboh’s house.

Mrs. Eboh told the Police that the deceased called her on the day the incident happened that he was at Oshodi and he would like to see her but she declined because she was busy right inside the Arena Military Market at Oshodi.

However, when she got home at Akinpelu Street, Oshodi, the deceased showed up in her apartment and she offered him a seat. She said she observed that he was sweating profusely and all of a sudden he became very restless and started shaking. She then had to raise alarm, which attracted her neighbours; they assisted her to move him to a private hospital unfortunately the officer passed on.

The corpse was then moved to Akinpelu Police Station enroute the mortuary where the Police were expecting to know what actually killed the late Inspector Anthony.
The death of Inspector Anthony has been attracting several comments from the neighbourhood despite the fact that autopsy report is not yet out.

The neighbours were suspecting that he may have died as a result of exhaustion during sex romp because he was sweating profusely inside Mrs. Eboh’s room before she collapsed.

It was also gathered that when Mrs. Eboh’s husband wanted to relocate to the village, she refused to follow him and since then she has been living alone with her children.
When our correspondent visited Akinpelu Police Station, Mrs. Eboh was still in custody while the autopsy report is being awaited. Members of the deceased family were seen at the Station saying they want to take him for burial.

However, according to a Police source, the matter will likely be transferred to SCIID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
