The Power Of Now

The first law of thermodynamics states that something cannot come from nothing. Every positive change of situation in any society is a product of the good people of the society who struggled selflessly and endured persecutions and deprivations to make things work for the better. The man who waits for others to do for him what he can do for himself, his family or society always end up becoming a servant to those who do them. If you really yearn for a better society, you must engage yourself in its pursuit against all odds, for it is your responsibility to provoke the type of change you desire.
You must learn to live your life as a tool for positive revolution and not just an agent of evolution. The syndrome of ‘sacrifices are better paid by others’ had kept many nations in the hands of infinitesimal corrupt individuals whose appetites for public wealth can never be satisfied. These few corrupt individuals, as a result of the stolen public money in their possessions, have made themselves Caesars as they keep running the affairs of their society at the detriment of the populace, looting, oppressing and arming hoodlums to commit hooded acts in order to relegate the public to the wheelchair of fear in the desert of insufficiency in all spheres of life. And the majority people of the so called populace are determined to sell their future for a morsel of bread as they keep celebrating, defending and dying for evil leaders.
Though, some blindly defend a particular leader or political party on the platform of religion, ethnicity, nepotism, etc, without minding the contents of the characters of flag bearers. While some, as a result of illiteracy, vote for whom they are told to vote for. They are being pushed as wheel barrows.
African system of leadership had proven that the more things are left to time only, the more they decompose. Time itself cannot heal a wound unless the wound is subjected to the right conditions. If things get healed by time, I believe the world had existed more than the enough time necessary to heal it from the wickedness of men. In a corrupt society where the good people of the society have left their desired socio – economic change to time and faith only, they will keep experiencing a better yesterday until they are ready to pay the necessary sacrifices for a better tomorrow.

Dr. John Pombe Magufuli, the President of Tanzania, is a good paradigm of a good leader. With his transparency, honesty, commitment, empathy and creativity brought about miraculous social economic change in his country. He cuts inaugural party budget while most other leaders in Africa will spend extravagantly to show the world that they are now in charge; he cancelled non-essential foreign trips by public servants, he scrapped independence day celebration while most Africa leaders waste money to celebrate their DEPENDENCY in the name of INDEPENDENCE, he stopped illegal import scam in Dar es Salaam Port and made the clearing of goods in the port easier and cheaper. He improved mineral resources and kept tackling grand corruption in every sector while most Africa leaders only declare and fight their perceived enemies in the name of war against corruption. He paid unannounced visits to government institutions in order to see the true state of their functionality. He fired the Board of Directors and the Director General of Muhimbili National Hospital for incompetence and threatened the new Director General with the same axe if he fails to put his acts together. These actions of his pushed every other sector to function well without supervisions.
In Tanzania today, we have seen evil bow helplessly and submissively to the unbiased ‘operation coup de poing’ of good governance. This is another proof that we can fix things aright anytime, anywhere against all odds throughout the land of Africa without the help and interventions of foreign exploiters, in the name of foreign aids. After all, anything foreign reacts badly to the body of man. We do not need their aids! We only need their sincerity and cooperation in business transactions.

We must enforce the category of change we desire by standing for what is right against every opposition even if we are to individually stand alone, for now is the accepted time. Now is the time! We must unite against short sighted leaders who cannot see the glory of a better society as they have remained thorns in the flesh of their people and that of generations to come. Now is the time! We must shake off the chains of fear and embrace the freedom of boldness to uplift the banners of patriotism as we speak and act against the evils that had kept us in the pit of shame. Now is the time to say no to VOTE BUYING as we select our leaders on the platform of meritocracy. Now is the glorious time! Now is the time to selflessly plant the trees that our next generation will water for the subsequent generations to keep eating the fruits thereof. Now is the time, for it is never too late to start but the earlier remains the better. Now is the time to conscientize ourselves and keep hitting tubular bells for good governance as we replace every ‘I’ with ‘we’.  Now is the time to push for draconian punishments for the stealing and the mismanagement of public funds for it is a crime against humanity, a crime against the orientation of a People, a crime against present generation and the generations unborn, and also, it is a crime that gives rise to many other crimes. NOW IS THE TIME TO ‘MAGUFULIFICATE’

Dr. “MESSIAH” MUGUFULI’s African solution for Africa problems catapulted Tanzania to the fourth fastest growing economy in the world ahead of China and the United States of America. There is no excuse to fail in life as far as we are true to ourselves. Excuses are unreal obstacles that only exist in the imagination as far as one remains above the ground, for when one door is closed, many more are opened. Have it engraved in your mind that it is not every closed door that is locked. According to DON WILDER, “excuses are the nails that are used to build the house of failure” and I will corroborate his view that the accusing finger of blame is the foundation of the edifice of failure.
