After marriage and years of barrenness, a pregnant woman identified as Uloma Chukwuma has committed suicide after she was duped by fraudsters to the tune of N2 million in Lagos, Nigeria.
The deceased reportedly drank Sniper, an insecticide substance which damaged her inner system. She fell down, became unconscious and was rushed to a hospital where she eventually died.
The incident happened at 12, Aigbedion Street in Ejigbo area of Lagos over the weekend. The empty can of the poisonous Sniper which Uloma drank was also recovered beside where she fell down inside her one bedroom apartment.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered the doctor’s report also confirmed the suicide act which caused her death and that of her unborn baby.
The deceased’s husband, Chucks said his late wife was duped to the amount when her company gave her the money to deposit at a Bank.
He said on her way to the Bank, she was accosted by the local fraudsters who duped her all the money and escaped.
He said she did not tell him initially and she was worried and he tried to find out what was her problem because she was pregnant. She eventually informed him and he promised her that he would assist to refund the money back to the company.
The bereaved husband said the company, who gave her the money to deposit into the Bank, beginning to pressure her about the money which might have led her to commit the suicide.
He said when their neighbours discovered her unconscious state, they contacted him on phone and he returned home and then rushed her to a hospital where she eventually died.
He said the doctor carried out an autopsy and discovered she drank poison.
The late Uloma hailed from Njeaba in Imo State. She married Chuks who hails from Isiala Ngwa in Abia State.
The couple have been married for some years back and had no issue until this year when she became pregnant.
Her body has been taken to their home town in Abia State and deposited at a mortuary until when she will be buried.
Residents expressed shock over what happened when our correspondent visited the house on Sunday.
They said they did not believe the deceased they popularly called Iyawo could act in such manner despite the pressure on her.
When our correspondent visited Ejigbo police division, the police said they have not received such report and promise to investigate the information.
