Presidential Coalition Committee Launches 2027 Re-Election Structures For President Tinubu

Posted on October 19, 2025

At a carnival-like event, the Presidential Coalition Committee inaugurated grassroots structures and street captains in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

The group, which comprises various political tendencies in Lagos State, had in attendance members of the Lagos State Executive Council, State and federal lawmakers, members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), among others.

According to the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Kolade Alabi, “We are here today to launch the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he has lived up to expectations through the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“He has re-engineered our financial system and introduced true federalism into our governance structure by empowering local governments financially. What we are doing today is to show appreciation to Mr. President and commence his re-election bid in earnest.”

In a related development, Hon. James Faleke, the coordinator of the movement, described the coalition as “a people-driven platform designed to consolidate the achievements of the Tinubu administration, mobilize public understanding of ongoing reforms, and deepen citizen participation in governance.”

He emphasized that President Tinubu’s bold policies —from the removal of fuel subsidies to the unification of exchange rates and the revival of key sectors such as steel, agriculture, and infrastructure—are gradually transforming the national economy despite initial challenges.

“The goal of this coalition,” Faleke noted, “is to ensure that Nigerians fully understand the purpose of these reforms. We are building a broad alliance of citizens, professionals, and youth who share the belief that Nigeria is on the path to genuine recovery.”

The event, which drew political leaders, youth representatives, women’s groups, and community stakeholders from across the country, highlighted the importance of sustained communication between the government and the people.

Hon. Faleke, a close ally of President Tinubu and one of the architects of his 2023 electoral victory, reiterated that the Renewed Hope Movement transcends politics — it is about the continuity of progress, stability, and reform.

“We are not merely preparing for an election,” he said. “We are preparing Nigeria for a future where leadership is defined by service, performance, and accountability.”

Speakers at the event commended Hon. Faleke’s leadership style and longstanding loyalty to the Tinubu political family, describing him as a symbol of consistency, bridge-building, and political discipline.

The newly inaugurated Presidential Coalition Committee will operate nationwide, coordinating engagement with support groups, professional associations, and civil society organizations to strengthen the base of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of 2027.

“President Tinubu has laid the foundation for a stronger Nigeria. It is now our collective duty to sustain and defend that progress,” Faleke declared.
