Prophet In Police Net For Defiling 2 Sisters & Impregnating One During Church Service

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ajuwon area of Ogun State, where the victims parents reside and the church is located.

The men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested Prophet Ogundeji over the alleged rape of the under aged sisters, who are members of his church.

This was disclosed by the Ogun State Command Police Public Relations Officer,  SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed that the suspect was in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the conduct.

SP Abimbola Oyeyemi stated that the suspect was arrested on 11th November, 2022, following a complaint lodged at Ajuwon Divisional Headquarters by the father of the two underaged girls, who stated that he discovered that his 16-year old daughter was pregnant.

The father asked the daughter to know who was responsible for the pregnancy, only to discover that the prophet was the one who impregnated her.

Oyeyemi stated that upon the report, the DPO Ajuwon Division, SP Andrew Akinseye, detailed his detectives to effect the arrest of the prophet. He was eventually arrested and detained for interrogation.

”On interrogation, the prophet admitted that he actually committed the crime. In the course of investigation, it was discovered that the said prophet did not only have carnal knowledge of the 16 years old girl, but her 13 years old younger sister too was defiled by the same prophet.”

“The two victims informed the Police that whenever they had vigil in the church, the prophet, who lives very close to the church, would ask them to go and stay in his house after the vigil which always comes to an end around 3am.”

They further stated that anytime they stayed in the prophet’s house, he used to give them something to lick, and after licking it, they will sleep off only to wake up to discover that the prophet had sex with them.” Oyeyemi said.

Oyeyemi stated that when asked why they did not inform their parents, the victims informed the Police that the suspect threatened to kill anyone of them that let the cat out of the bag and they concealed the act to themselves before one of them became pregnant.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has directed that the suspect be transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Prophet Ogundeji may likely bag several years of imprisonment if the Police charge him before the Court and he is found guilty for the alleged offence.
