The founder of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, Prophet Amos Isah, has been remanded in custody over the alleged rape of a 14-year-old church member inside his office in FCT, Abuja.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that it was the order of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja.
The presiding judge, Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi, directed that the 39-year-old cleric be remanded pending the submission of records relating to an earlier bail granted to him.
The order followed the resumption of the trial on Thursday, 14th May, 2026.
Prophet Isah’s church is located in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, where he allegedly committed the offence.
However, he pleaded not guilty to the eight-count charge bordering on alleged rape, sexual exploitation, coercion, emotional and psychological abuse, gross indecency and abduction of a minor.
According to the prosecution, the teenager was allegedly lured into the church’s newly constructed auditorium on 26th May, 2025.
The charge sheet marked FCT/HC/CR/467/2024 alleged that the cleric locked the doors and forcefully had sexual intercourse with the minor without her consent.
Part of the charges read, “That you, APOSTLE AMOS ISAH (39 years), male, of Behind Federal Road Safety, Gwagwalada, Abuja, on or about the 26th day of May, 2025, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, did commit an illegal act to wit: rape
“You lured one B.Z.J. (14 years old), female, of Plot Gwagwalada, Abuja, into your office at Prophet Victory Voice Fire Ministry International Church, Gwagwalada, Abuja, and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her without her consent. You thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 31(1) of the Child’s Rights Act, 2003, and punishable under Section 31(2) of the same law.”
The prosecution further alleged that after the incident, the defendant gave the victim N3,000 to purchase medication and threatened to kill her and members of her family if she disclosed the incident.
The court also heard that the alleged actions constituted gross indecency without consent, contrary to provisions of the Penal Code.
Justice Osho-Adebiyi adjourned the matter until 30th June, 2026, for continuation of the hearing.
The prophet risks several years of imprisonment if he is found guilty before the Court.
