It was double jeopardy for a sick woman who went to Church for spiritual healing and she got swindled to the tune of N2m while her two under aged daughters were allegedly defiled by the prophet and attempted abortion which has traumatized the whole family.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Prophet, Ebenezer Ajigbotoluwa, who is the General Overseer of the Church of the Lord Olomore, Abeokuta, Ogun State, is now in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the dastardly act on the victims.

The Prophet, Ajigbotoluwa, was arrested following a report by the mother of the victims who reported at Lafenwa Police Station that she fell sick sometime in 2018 and was taken to the Church for spiritual healing.
She stated further that the pro, took advantage of her sickness and asked her entire family of six to move into the Church premises to avoid being afflicted with the same sickness.

There and then, the prophet allegedly started having carnal knowledge of her two daughters aged 13 and 16 unknown to her and eventually impregnated them. Then to cover up the act, he went to a private clinic to have them abort the pregnancy.

An embittered mother narrated that the prophet defrauded the family of a cash sum of Two Million Naira, which he took for what he called spiritual cleansing.

Upon the report, the Divisional Police Officer, Lafenwa, CSP Muraina Ayilara, led his men to the Church but the place had been deserted at that time.Hence the DPO and his men embarked on intelligence and technical based investigation, and their efforts paid off when the prophet was arrested on the 6th August, 2020, at about 5am.

On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of most of the allegations levelled against him and that it was the reason he ran away when he heard that the Police were hunting for him.
While on a search on his home, the Police recovered assorted dangerous charms which he reportedly used to commit such heinous crime on the victims.

This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who said that the prophet was in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the act.
He said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward A Ajogun, has ordered the suspect to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for discreet investigation.
He also warned those hiding under the umbrella of religion to perpetrate evil to desist from it or meet their waterloo.

The CP therefore, appealed to members of the public to beware of those wolves in sheep’s skin masquerading as men of God as they are out to milk them dry before destroying their lives.
