Prophetess Sent To Prison For Alleged Gang Raping

A self confessed prophetess, Mrs. Patience Adams has been arrested and remanded in prison custody for her alleged involvement in the gang raping of a young lady who also got defrauded to the tune of N600,000 under false pretence.

The incident happened at Arida area of Idimu in Lagos where Adams first had encounter with the victim.

Mrs. Adams reportedly accosted the victim, (name withheld) on her way to church and gave her fake prophecies.

She took her to a place where three other male suspects who were her accomplices waited.

The male suspects in the guise of helping her double her money hypnotised, duped and gang raped her.

Adams was arrested and charged before a Lagos court and remanded in prison custody before the police later arrested three of her male accomplice.

The three suspects were Chibueze Osuji, 37, Lawrence Nwogu, 44 and Anthony Nwadike.

The matter was reported to the police who first arrested Adams and charged her to court and later trailed the three other suspects and arrested them.

They were brought before Ejigbo Magistrates court and charged for conspiracy and fraud.

The trio pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs J.O.E. Ajayi granted the suspects bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.

Mrs. Adams was also remanded in prison custody.

The matter was adjourned till 10 November, 2017.
