Quality Healthcare: HTSI Team Visits Somolu General Hospital
As part of measures to ensure that general hospitals in Lagos State are working in tandem with the laid down status quo, the General Hospital Somolu recently hosted The Hospital Transformation Support Initiative (HTSI) Team from the Lagos State Health Service Commission.
The Permanent Secretary, Health Service Commission, Dr. Ademuyiwa Benjamin Eniayewun, while touring the facility alongside other members of the delegation, said he was highly impressed with what he met on ground.
According to him, the periodic tour of general hospitals in the state helps to appraise the quality of healthcare service delivery in public health facilities.
Eniayewun, while applauding the competency exhibited in the hospital despite the challenges of space constraints, maintained that more can still be achieved in the hospital to enhance service delivery.
The Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, Dr. Mustapha Adebola Quadri, who was around with members of the management staff to receive the team, promised to do everything in his capacity to continue to improve services and make the General Hospital Somolu the cynosure of all eyes.
Some of the places visited by the HTSI team included The Accident and Emergency Ward, Ante-Natal Clinic, The General Out-Patients Department, Post and Neonatal Wards, Labour Room, Consulting Rooms, Laboratory and Paediatrics Ward, among others.
