Remo 2019: When African Runners Stormed Sagamu For Valuejet Ultra Race (PHOTOS)

The first African ultra race championship to hold in 35 years existence of the sport was staged in Sagamu, Remo, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria on Saturday. It was a well attended tournament with the presence of 16 African countries featuring 750 athletes.

Tagged Valuejet IAU African Championship Remo 2019, the event brought in frenzy and atmosphere of excitement to the ancient city of Sagamu. Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, so also was the President of the IAU, Nadeem Khan, CEO of Valuejet Airlines, Hon. Kunle Soname and a host of others were there to cheer the runners to victories. The South African team were the winners of the day after they won the men and women races.
