Medical services delivery began yesterday, Saturday, 22nd April, 2023, at the Unity Fountain, Abuja, venue of defence for democracy event as progressives continue to throng the fountain daily in furtherance of the hangout to safeguard the Renewed Hope mandate.

The medical outreach, featuring blood sugar level, blood pressure, dental services, eye test, general body checkups and other supplementary exercises, is sponsored by Prince Ade Omole, the Diaspora Directorate Director of the Tinubu Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

The medical team, equipment and medical drugs, could be seen at the fountain yesterday. Dr Sylvia Okoro and her nurse were fully at work when Prince Omole and Hon Oyakhilome Bello, from the USA visited the medical stand earlier.

According to Prince Omole, healthcare plays a crucial role in democracy because it takes healthy citizens and residents to make a well-informed choice in a democracy. The people who throng this venue daily have shown that the sustenance of democracy is paramount to them and we as leaders must play our roles to ensure they are well taken care of.
He also said that medical outreach is not only vital for patients’ and residents’ well-being but essential to a successful democracy and to some people who are not aware of their medical conditions.
The programme continues into other days of the scheduled hangout and meet at the Unity Fountain.
