Requiem For Edozie Njoku And His Gang Of Fraudsters

Sadly, Edozie Njoku will no longer dance to “gwogwogwongwo” at the court complexes. He is known as a man who has neither fear of God nor respect for the Nigerian courts. His attempted heist to overthrow Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa as the authentic National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was one of the most outrageous acts since the return of democracy in 1999. Njoku even went so far as to blackmail the courts and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to legitimize his fraudulent antics. However, following the recent unanimous ruling by the Supreme Court, which clarified the long-standing claims made by Njoku and his co-travelers of leadership since 2019—based on a nonexistent Owerri APGA national convention—Njoku will no longer be able to parade himself as the party’s National Chairman. He must now prepare to face charges related to his criminal case.

 

When news broke on July 9, 2024, that INEC had recognized Edozie Njoku as the APGA National Chairman by citing a “court order” that was neither provided nor made public, we demonstrated that INEC had made an error. It later became clear why the commission took that position: they were blackmailed and deceived. Njoku’s group attempted to manipulate the narrative of their recognition to deceive those unaware of the lengthy leadership disputes.

Njoku and his supporters concealed the truth that the correction made on March 24, 2023, did not, in any way, affect the findings of the Supreme Court ruling on October 14, 2021, which upheld the Court of Appeal’s decision in Kano State.

 

There is a serious concern regarding Njoku’s character. His reckless behavior, blackmail tactics, and desperation have transformed him into a security threat to the nation. He will inevitably face criminal charges for forging court documents and will be counting his days in prison. The greater tragedy is that he and his accomplices can no longer deceive themselves by dancing “gwogwogwongwo,” as they have been kept out from their fraudulent activities, particularly in APGA and Anambra politics, which have served as their scam ground for desperate politicians during every election cycle.
