Respected Thespian, Saheed Balogun Visits Ikeja Council Boss

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), today received a courtesy visit from the renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Thespian Saheed Balogun, at his Ikeja House office.

 

During the visit, the respected thespian commended Comrade Dauda for his visionary leadership, people-oriented initiatives, and his unwavering commitment to youth development in Ikeja. He further applauded the administration’s openness to collaboration, noting that the creative industry holds immense potential to engage the youth positively and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic growth of the community.

The Ikeja Council Chairman, in his remarks, expressed delight at the visit, describing Saheed Balogun as a cultural icon and a worthy ambassador of the Nigerian movie industry. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young people, promote talent, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Lagos State.

 

The visit concluded with an exchange of ideas on possible partnerships between the Ikeja Local Government and the creative sector, with a shared goal of fostering youth empowerment, community development, and cultural preservation.

At the meeting was the Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Abisola Omisore (OMITUNTUN).
