For Rite Foods Limited, makers of Nigeria’s leading sausage roll brand, the Awoof Retail Flap Promo is more than just a prize campaign. It is a deliberate strategy to give back value to the retailers who keep products moving from cartons to shops and from shops to consumers, one flap at a time.

The company, known for its market-leading brands such as Bigi drinks, Rite Spicy Beef Sausage Rolls, Rite Sausage Rolls, Sosa Fruit Drink and Fearless Energy Drink, said the promo was designed to appreciate and empower small and medium-scale retailers across the country, who are the backbone of its distribution network.

According to the management of Rite Foods, the Awoof Retail Flap Promo is simple, transparent and rewarding. Retailers who sell the Rite Spicy Beef Sausage Roll are required to collect the flaps from the empty cartons. Each flap contains an opportunity to win instant cash prizes, airtime, gift items and other valuable rewards that can support their businesses.

Industry observers say the initiative is coming at a time when many retailers are grappling with rising costs and low margins. By putting direct value back into the hands of shop owners, market women, kiosk operators and provision store owners, Rite Foods is not only driving sales but also helping to sustain livelihoods.

Speaking on the promo, the Brand Manager for Rite Sausage Roll, said the idea behind Awoof Retail Flap was to make every carton count for the retailer.

“Our retailers are our partners in progress. They wake up every day to ensure that consumers can get our products anywhere, anytime. The Awoof Retail Flap Promo is our way of saying thank you. It is Awoof in the real sense because for every flap they submit, there is something for them. It is our little way of boosting their business while keeping the market excited,” the Brand Manager said.

He explained that participation in the promo is very easy. Retailers do not need to do any online registration. They only need to keep selling Rite Spicy Beef Sausage Rolls, keep the flaps from the cartons and present them to the Rite Foods field representatives who visit their shops and markets regularly across Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt, Onitsha and other key markets.

Since the launch of the promo, hundreds of retailers have reportedly won various prizes, ranging from cash rewards to branded gift items such as coolers, umbrellas, aprons, and shopping vouchers. Some lucky retailers have also received bigger business support packages.

A retailer at Oshodi market in Lagos, Mrs. Blessing Okonkwo, who benefited from the promo, described it as timely and impactful. She said the cash reward she received helped her restock her shop and she is now more motivated to push Rite Sausage Rolls in her shop.

“Rite Foods has always supported us. This Awoof Flap promo is different because it rewards us directly. As we sell, we are winning. It is very encouraging,” she said.

Rite Foods stated that the promo aligns with its brand philosophy of putting consumers and trade partners first. Over the years, the company has consistently introduced consumer and retailer-focused initiatives that drive entrepreneurship and create value across its supply chain.

The company assured retailers that the Awoof Retail Flap Promo is still ongoing and urged those who are yet to participate to start collecting their flaps immediately to benefit from the rewards.

With initiatives like this, Rite Foods continues to demonstrate why it remains one of Nigeria’s most respected and innovative food and beverage companies, committed to excellence, quality and rewarding loyalty one flap at a time.
