Robbers Killed Family Of Five, Snatched SUV And Sold To Lagos Car Dealer

The Police have unmasked those behind the killing of a man, his wife and their three children after it recovered their SUV stolen by the robbers who sold it to a car dealer in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the operation was carried out by the detectives from Zone 9 Umuahia in Abia State who stormed Lagos at the weekend and recovered the stolen Lexus SUV.The armed robbers reportedly snatched the vehicle and in the process killed the five family members inside it and escaped.

The Lexus SUV with registration number KJA 454 EQ was recovered at Ile ewe in Egbe area of Lagos from a car dealer popularly called ‘Pastor’ who had already sold it to a buyer.
Six suspects have been arrested so far and detained at the Ejigbo Police Division enroute to Abia State in connection with the robbery incident.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the owner of the SUV was traveling with his wife and three children when the robbers ambushed them on the high way. The daredevil robbers reportedly shot and killed the man, his wife and their three children and took away the SUV.

The SUV was reportedly brought to Lagos and sold to a car dealer who in turn sold it to the buyer. The suspects have denied their involvement in the robbery incident and claimed that they were victims of circumstance.

When our correspondent visited the Ejigbo Police Division, the suspects were still detained at the cell and the AIG Zone 9 Umuahia in Abia State also confirmed on phone that such incident happened in Abia State.
The recovered SUV was seen parked in front of the police station with flat tyres.

Police source said the SUV will eventually be taken to Abia State as exhibit after the team that came to Lagos had concluded their investigation.
