The 5km Ogun Women Run organised by Brussells Sports Limited that has Seyi Johnson as the Managing Director, flagged off at 8am Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at Sapon with lots of pre-race fanfare, had its finish point at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta.

The Managing Director of Brussels Sports Ltd, Seyi Johnson, expressed delight on the turn out of runners in this year’s edition. He said he was very happy about this development, an indicator that the Ogun Women Run is going places.

He noted that the participation in the Run by veteran Nigerian international athlete, Otonye Iworina, added some colours to the 2023 edition of the Ogun Women Run.

Johnson stressed that: “In future editions of the Run, we hope to have more veteran runners compete in the Ogun Women Run, same as more young athletes who will continue to use the 5km Run as a training ground for bigger races.”
