SAIL Opens Application For STEM Education For Senior Secondary School Students (Cohort 2)

The Senator Abiru Innovation Lab, SAIL, has opened an application for STEM Education programme for Senior Secondary School Students (Cohort 2) across the 98 wards in the Lagos East Senatorial District.

Participants at the STEM programme will be taught physical computing as part of their STEM curriculum for 16 weeks. Classes hold on Saturdays between 11am- 2 Pm. Senator Abiru has made provision for free launch and transportation allowances for all participants.

SAIL, an initiative of the Tokunbo Abiru Constituency Team (TACT) Foundation, is a dedicated innovation and tech lab that is providing relevant technology, business and digital skills to teach enthusiasts and young entrepreneurs across the Lagos East Senatorial District.

Last month, participants who had successfully undergone the training (Cohort 1) had their graduation, which was witnessed by top government functionaries including the Lagos State Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Innovation and Technology, Mr Olatunbosun Alake and Tutor Generals from District 2 and 3 among other dignitaries.

At the graduation ceremony, teenagers who are mostly from Public secondary schools in the district showcased devices and other innovative solutions they developed to solve certain human problems.
