Both the owner of the school, Mrs. Orjiakor and Chinedu, have been arrested over the alleged dastardly act. While Mrs. Orjiakor was charged because her school was used for the sexual assault on the pupil, the teacher, Chinedu, was charged for unlawful anal penetration.
According to Police sources, Chinedu allegedly committed the offence after school hours as the victim was waiting for his parents to take him home. At that point, he was said to have forcefully removed the boy’s clothes and penetrated him from behind.
However, the information leaked after the boy told his parents about what happened and the matter was reported to the Police in the area. He was then arrested alongside the owner of the school and transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for investigation.
After thorough interrogation at the Gender Section, the Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
However, when they were arraigned, the first defendant, Chinedu, pleaded guilty while the second defendant, Mrs. Orjiakor, pleaded not guilty on the two counts charge against her.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for facts and sentence on the first defendant and asked for a date for hearing on the second defendant to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
