ScribeTribe Africa CEO, Ukwenga Bags CIoD Membership

The Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD) inducted Bright Ukwenga, Chief Executive Officer, ScribeTribe Africa Ltd. as a member of the Institute on Wednesday at Oriental Hotel along with other visionaries and industry captain leaders.  

The ceremony themed, “Maintaining Board Excellence and Governance in Trying Times,” delivered by the guest speaker, Mrs. Oyinkan Adewala, M.CIoD, Independent Non-Executive Director, FBN Quest Merchant Bank Ltd, served as a wakeup call for directors to upscale in these challenging seasons experienced by Nigeria.

She said, “cyber security and AI have now topped the list of what keeps directors awake. You have to embrace Tech, not run away from it. You have to see how this affects your company.”

Speaking at his induction, Bright Ukwenga noted that, “this moment reflects my unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical leadership. I am eager to play my part as a transformational leader in the business community both locally and globally.”

Amongst the many inductees were Mrs. Feyisayo Abiru, Managing Director, Home and You Ltd; Mr. Tunde Elesin, Deputy Managing Director, Deltaafrik Engineering Ltd; Mrs Nnenna Anyim Okoro, Executive Director, Keystone Bank; Mr. Idris Adeleke Shittu, Non-Executive Director, FBN Quest Trustees Ltd; and Dr. Tayo Aduloju, Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG).

The Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD) is the apex professional body in Nigeria with a mandate to cater for and represent Directors in their individual capacities across the various sectors of the economy.

As a prime leadership organization, it helps directors fulfill their legal and professional responsibilities for the benefit of business and the society.
