Season 19 of Africa Magic’s Long-Running Series, Tinsel, Premieres

Posted on August 4, 2026

Africa Magic’s flagship and longest-running drama series, Tinsel, has returned for its landmark 19th season on Monday, 3 August 2026, with brand-new episodes airing every weekday at 7:30 pm WAT on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151 & GOtv channel 8).

This season brings major shifts to the Ade-Williams dynasty as the Reel Group faces unprecedented expansion and intense corporate sabotage, forcing key figures to navigate hostile takeovers and personal crises.

At the same time, personal struggles and high-stakes criminal investigations interweave to test the resilience and relationships of long-standing characters. Ultimately, Season 19 proves that while some will survive the storm, nothing in the Tinsel universe will ever remain the same.

The new season continues to showcase an acclaimed ensemble cast featuring fan favorites Ireti Doyle (Sheila Gardia), Dozie Onyiriuka (Freddy Ade-Williams), Linda Ejiofor (Bimpe), Ibrahim Suleiman (Damini), Iyke Okechukwu (Chuks), and Florence Uwaleke Okechukwu (Ene).
