Senator Adeola Expresses Shock Over Kemi Nelson’s Demise

The distinguished lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District and Chairman of Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Solomon Adeola, has expressed shock and sadness at the news of the demise of Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson at the age of 66 years describing her untimely exit as a great loss to the progressives’ political family in Nigeria. 
 
In a statement following the news of her demise, the Senator stated that Chief Nelson was a forthright political leader, a great amazon in the political field, whose exit have created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill immediately.
“Yeye, as we fondly called her, is one of my foremost political leaders and a mother, who always have my best interest at heart. She played major roles in my political career over the years and she was indeed a role model in the political circles. I am greatly saddened by her untimely death.” the Senator stated.
Senator Adeola said she would be remembered for her positive roles in the development of Lagos State, in encouraging women participation in the democratic process as well as service to the nation in different capacities in government adding that he prays for a peaceful repose of her soul and the fortitude for loved ones left behind to bear the irreparable loss of a loving and caring matriarch.
