Senator Uche Ekwunife Movement Reiterates Support For The Federal Lawmaker

Senator Uche Ekwunife Movement, a support group of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has convened special ward meetings in support of the Federal Lawmaker. The ongoing meetings across the 109 wards of the Senatorial District, is an avenue to appreciate members of the group and brief constituents on the completed and ongoing projects in their respective communities.
Accordingly, the Awka North and Awka South local governments coordinators of the group, Hon. Kenneth Udedibia and Hon. Onyi Nwokeke, and their respective ward coordinators met with members of the group at the various wards in the LGAs to brief them on the activities of the Senator in the National Assembly as well as notify them on the numerous empowerment programmes accessible at the Anambra Central Liaison Office.
Addressing members of the group at Achalla Ward I, Mr. Kenneth Udedibia appreciated members for their support and solidarity towards the grassroots friendly Senator. He mentioned some of the ongoing projects facilitated by Ekwunife in the community, including the construction of Igwe Nwokedi road. Mr. Udedibia said that the essence of the meeting was to assure the people of Senator Ekwunife’s resolve to uplift their standard of living through facilitation of impactful and life-changing projects and programmes.
Mr. Onyi Nwokeke, who supervised the meetings held at the various wards in Awka South Local Government, highlighted the various empowerment programmes facilitated by the Senator which he noted were targeted at poverty alleviation and economic development.
Mr. Nwokeke said that the current state of the Nigerian economy calls for special support for the people, particularly the poor and vulnerable. He reiterated the resolve of Senator Ekwunife in this regard which according to him is being reflected in the Senator’s activities since she was inaugurated into the 9th National Assembly.
Members of the group across the seven (7) local governments in Anambra Central are expected to participate in the ongoing special ward engagement meetings which is targeted at strengthening the feedback mechanism between Senator Ekwunife and the people of the Senatorial District.
