Demonstrating a bold push to position Anambra State as a globally competitive, technology-driven economy, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has concluded a high-level strategic engagement tour of Silicon Valley, California- a mission that anchors on his administration’s core governance philosophy—ADTS (Africa, Dubai, Taiwan, Silicon Valley), designed to distill best practices from the world’s leading innovation hubs and adapt them to accelerate the state’s development.

The Governor’s intensive itinerary featured direct consultations with global giants in healthcare technology, artificial intelligence, and higher education, laying the groundwork for strategic knowledge transfer, infrastructural upgrading, and human capital development in Anambra State.

At Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company renowned globally for advanced cancer care and medical technology, Governor Soludo held extensive talks aimed at modernizing healthcare delivery in Anambra.

Discussions centered on integrating frontier health technologies into the state’s medical framework, facilitating high-level knowledge exchange, and driving institutional capacity development. The partnership seeks to bridge the gap in specialized healthcare, ensuring that citizens have access to medical services benchmarked against global standards.

Recognizing the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in the future global economy, the Governor met with executives at NVIDIA, a worldwide leader in GPU computing and AI infrastructure. The deliberations explored avenues for building advanced AI computing capabilities within Anambra State.

Crucially, the talks focused on leveraging NVIDIA’s robust global learning and developer ecosystems to empower Anambra’s burgeoning population of young tech talents. By plugging local innovators directly into world-class AI training pipelines, the Soludo-led administration aims to turn the state into a magnet for digital enterprise and engineering excellence.

To sustain a knowledge-based economy, local talent must be backed by world-class academic frameworks. To this end, Governor Soludo engaged the leadership of San José State University in California.

The engagement forged pathways for academic partnerships, including faculty exchange programs, advanced postgraduate training, curriculum enhancement, and technology-focused courses. These initiatives are strategically tailored to revamp the academic offerings of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), driving its transition into a globally respected institution of learning.

These Silicon Valley partnerships directly feed into the broader framework of the Solution Innovation District (SID). Conceived as Anambra’s ultimate platform for technology, entrepreneurship, and investment, the SID continues to serve as the launchpad for the state’s digital transformation agenda.

Governor Soludo emphasized that the state’s international engagements are intentional and pragmatic—focused strictly on forging high-value relationships, securing strategic investments, and bringing home the technological infrastructure required to power a prosperous future.

“The essence of the ADTS vision is clear,” the Governor noted. “It is about building an Anambra that learns globally, builds locally, and competes confidently with the rest of the world.”
